Enamel and Oil Pastel on Canvas
Contemporary Expressive, Wildlife, Animals
The red fox was cunning. He had to be! It’s hard when the rest of the world sees you as a pest. He used his smarts very well, always finding food, finding a nice snug spot to curl up for a nap, and even escaping the vicious hunters who seemed to enjoy trying to kill him as a sport. He didn’t mind his bad reputation so much; he knew he was important and his true colours shone through for anyone who cared to see.
In this highly expressive and passionate style Gillie and Marc have let their emotions run free in this explosive collection of freehand painting. Inspired by the styles of Brett Whiteley, Francis Bacon, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gillie and Marc have combined enamel paint with oil pastel to breathe life into the worlds most endangered species. Over the past five years, Gillie and Marc spent hours sketching and studying wildlife, travelling the globe to meet these animals up close. These sketches have now been brought to life in vibrant colour with love and passion. Each painting is created as a team with both the artists bringing their own emotion into every painting.
Please note: All canvases come stretched and ready to hang, however if you would like your painting to be framed, Gillie and Marc are happy to provide this service for you at your request. For framing enquiries please email us.
It is important to keep your painting out of direct sunlight and not to lean anything against the surface of the canvas. If it gets dusty, it can be cleaned with a soft dry cloth.
