Gillie and Marc are avid wine lovers, and it’s a frequent motif in their work. They believe that mutually enjoying a great glass of wine catalyses positive social interactions, and progressive conversations. The foundation of everything the artists do is love. This inspired them to launch a project involving Australia’s top wineries, giving them the opportunity to express that they believe in the importance of diversity, acceptance, and togetherness. In light of recent events taking place in the public sphere, Gillie and Marc think it’s more important than ever to embrace our differences, and come together to tackle critical issues facing the future of humanity. One of Gillie and Marc’s most beloved sculptures featuring their iconic duo, Rabbitgirl and Dogman, doubles as a stunning wine holder, representing the importance of these philosophies. By displaying this bronze sculptures, progressive venues will be stating their loving support for a better world.
The Cullen family acknowledge the Wardandi people elders past and present, traditional custodians of the winegrowing land of Cullen Wines with respect and love. Dr Kevin John and Diana Madeline Cullen were early pioneers in the "new era" of Margaret River wine initiating plantings in 1966 in Wilyabrup after the historic paper written by Dr John Gladstones on the suitability of growing Cabernet Sauvignon in the region. The philosophy is created from the words Quality Integrity and Sustainability and to this end Cullen property is certified Biodynamic, carbon neutral, and naturally powered. All wines are made in connection to nature using biodynamic techniques. We love nature!!
